Here you will find information about me and the doula services I provide, birth stories from remarkable women and their loved ones, as well as all kinds of resources to enrich your own journey of discovery. And welcome also to BLISSFUL HERBS, the home of beautiful herbal teas and bath herbs to support wellness through every season of life.

Rest & Heal bath herbs

This blend of soothing bath herbs is especially to promote relaxation and healing following pregnancy loss. The herbs help reduce swelling & discomfort and speed healing, as well as relaxing muscle tension and calming the mind. The herbal properties prevent infection and support the natural healing process of body and mind.

Along with the Pregnancy Loss Solace tea or The Carys Blend, this is a gentle way to show love and care during a difficult time, and a way for the mother to care for herself through the grieving process.

To use, place a generous handful of the herbs (about 25g) into a large jug or bowl, like a Pyrex bowl. Pour on hot water from the kettle, then cover with a lid or plate to keep the essential oils from escaping. Let the herbs steep for about 10 minutes while you run your bath. Then pour the herbs and herbal liquid into the bath water. Step in and gently stir with your body.
The Rest & Heal bath herbs contain:

Chamomile: Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Calming for the nervous system. Used by herbalists to treat wounds, sunburn, burns & haemorrhoids. Note: Allergic skin reactions have been reported in people who are also allergic to ragweed or any plants in the daisy family.

Comfrey leaf: a healing herb which reduces muscle tension. (Do not take internally and avoid use on broken skin).

Lady’s Mantle: A woman's tonic with astringent properties, and helps protect healing elastin fibres.

Lavender: Antiseptic, analgesic (pain relieving), anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antioxidant, sedative, and deodorizing properties. A soothing, comforting effect on the mind.

Rosemary: An astringent, restorative herb with antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Yarrow: Astringent and anti-bacterial properties; the anti-spasmodic effects reduce inflammation.

Oregano: A cleansing herb with antiseptic properties that also helps to relax tense muscles and is rich in nutrients.

Rose petals - with a lovely fragrance and calming affect on the mind.
