Here you will find information about me and the doula services I provide, birth stories from remarkable women and their loved ones, as well as all kinds of resources to enrich your own journey of discovery. And welcome also to BLISSFUL HERBS, the home of beautiful herbal teas and bath herbs to support wellness through every season of life.

The Balanced Weight herbal tea

This delicious blend of herbs is rich in anti-oxidants to help cleanse and de-toxify your body. Together with a healthy, whole-food diet and regular exercise, this tea supports your efforts to maintain a healthy weight.

To get the full benefit, avoid using metal implements when you make your tea. Use a glass or ceramic pot or jug, and use a wood or plastic spoon and strainer. You can add lemon and honey for taste if you wish – the best is Active Manuka Honey which is a natural anti-biotic.

Enjoy your tea hot, warm or cold, and drink it freely throughout the day.

The Balanced Weight tea contains the following herbs:

Cinnamon – helps regulate blood sugar levels and supports fat metabolism.

Dandelion – nutritionally rich, supports the pancreas and endocrine system for effective metabolism; boosts energy. Also has diuretic properties.

Fennel – an anti-oxidant which supports digestion and has a mild diuretic effect.

Ginger – reduces stomach acidity and supports the digestive process.

Hibiscus Rosella – this tea is even richer in anti-oxidants than Green or White tea. It gives a lovely rosy hue to the tea and tastes delicious.

Liquorice – supports the adrenal glands, assists sugar metabolism and reduces the craving for sweets.

Nettle – combined with Fennel, this richly nutritious herb supports weight loss.

Siberian Ginseng – and adaptogen herb which supports energy and vitality & reduces sugar cravings.

It's good if you *like* your tea, then you are more likely to drink it instead of coke, coffee, tea, iced coffee etc - all that stuff we are trying to kick, right? So let me know what flavours you like, out of:

- Ginger
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Cinnamon
- Fruity
- Aniseed
- Citrus
- Mint
- Stevia (a naturally sweet and very nutritious herb, which also helps balance blood sugar levels).

and I will tailor your tea to suit your taste.

I can also add a small amount of Senna leaf which has a mild laxative action. Be careful with this one - some people react more strongly to it than others, and like any substance with laxative action, it should not be used for any length of time. More about Senna here

This tea is amazing - I was skeptical, but I've been drinking my 3ish cups a day, and I've somehow lost 1kg in a week. It helps with my excessive snacking, and it's just so so beautiful! Great self care :) - Jade
